I wasn't quite sure what to expect from a course labeled "Instructional Technology Leadership." Would I learn how to lead other teachers? Would I learn the role of an administrator? Would I learn about professional development? Would I become a leader through just one course? While the path that has lead me to a very impressive end was not always clear, the results from this course are written all over me. And the answer to all my questions was, yes!
With the incredible help and hard work of Dr. Fuller, I feel like my philosophy of professional development, the role of leadership, and the many paths to improving as a school is solidifying. And, while developing a comprehensive technology improvement plan was an incredibly difficult task, the conversations and information garnered from the process alone has opened my eyes. I have had serious conversations with top people in my school, and they see me having those conversations as well. In fact, as a direct result of the school improvement process, I was asked to lead the school in the implementation of a new technology (to include training staff). Overall, the course was a great success for me.
